Small Space Jump Slice Sequences

Snap! and I were at the USDAA Midwest Regional last weekend and Judge Carol Voelker had some great courses. She had a number of sequences where your dog sliced two jumps in a row and (to the dog) the second jump could just as likely be a Front Side or a Back Side Handling the Quad Back Side - Patrick Bucher Course/VideoThe Connection Between Threadles and Back SidesBack Side/Back Side JumpBack Side of Jump Handling Combinations - Video. When we got home I setup a bunch of jumps in the yard and worked on them. It was fun!

With Snap! resting this weekend, I decided to extract a four jump setup and I created six practice sequences for you to play with at home.

In the PDF below I’ve included a setup diagram for a 40’ x 50’ (12m x 15m) space though if you have 50’x 50’ (15m x 15m) you can give your dog more room between the left jumps and the edge of the ring for a better, faster approach to the jumps. I’ve also created a slightly bigger 50’ x 60’ (15m x 18m) setup that’ll get you both running!

As always, adjust the spacing for the safety of your dog!

The Sequences

As usual, the sequences aren’t in any order of difficulty, so scan through them to find the ones you want to start with for your team.

Let’s get to work! Download a PDF of the obstacle layouts and all the sequences.

I hope you enjoy the sequences and have fun practicing!
