Half Cross

10 Aug 2004Steve Schwarz

A Half Cross is most often used to either get a dog’s attention and/or to move the dog slightly horizontally towards the handler while the dog continues to move forward. It is a Front Cross Learning the Front Cross - VideoFront Cross where the handler starts a front cross but as soon as the dog turns towards the handler the handler turns back towards the dog. So the dog never changes sides on the handler. The dog will still change their lead leg twice.
