Smaller Space Training Sequence

I recently shared a fun and challenging Dana Pike training sequence based on a larger Jan Egil Eide course. I cut off the bottom half of Dana’s course, rearranged a couple jumps, and added another jump to create a fun 50’ x 80’ jumping sequence.

Handling Notes

  • Obstacles 3-10 are basically the same as in Dana’s sequence - see my discussion in the post linked above. Though in her course jump 3 was the opposite side. You could play with that change too.
  • Instead of going to the dog walk (that was in Dana’s original course) after jump 10 you go back into the tunnel while avoiding the off course 1/20.
  • Can you blind cross 11 to 12 to push to the back side of 12? Or Threadle slice?
  • I’d like a blind cross on the landing of 14 for dog on right.
  • Cue collection for the wrap at jump 15.
  • Then it’s a classic Serpentine 16-17-18 with dog on right. Or push to the backside of 16 for different challenge.
  • Cue collection on 18 to get a decent line for the dog for 18-19-20. Depending on how those jumps are set it might be a nicer line for the dog to turn right on 18… Do you need to go with your dog or can you layer the tunnel for 19-20-21.
  • Then it is push to back on 22 and your choice for which side of the final jump.

I hope you give this a try!
