Short Tunnels are Great for Discriminations!

3ft/1m tunnels are awesome for discrimination training! You don’t have haul out a full size tunnel and all of its sand bags.
I made this one by cutting a section from a 20 year old tunnel that had a tear in it. Make sure there are no wires or other sharp edges where your dog can contact them! I’m going to buy a new one next year.
Or you can buy them relatively inexpensively.
Another safety reminder: never use a short tunnel where a dog might need to turn in the tunnel; it is such a short obstacle where a misstep when they bank on the side of the tunnel (and they are outside of the tunnel) could cause dogs to fall. Only use them on straight lines.
